I'm getting ready to leave work and I see my tire's flat when I get to my car. I'm in Buffalo and this was one hell of a cold wintery day. Certainly below freezing.
I start bringing the jack out, loosening lugnuts, etc. Finally, I get the wheel off. It was a little stuck but I managed. By this time my hands are freezing! I say to myself, "Ok, home stretch, lets get this tire on and go home." I go to grab the spare and... it's flat. There's a HUGE metal spike in it with a chain coming out.
I purchased this car about two months ago used and it looks like I'm fucked. Whoever owned the car before me got a flat, changed the tire, and kept driving on the full size spare but never fixed the original tire.
I ended up calling a friend of mine that took me to Firestone to get two new tires since the old ones were beyond repair. Of course, I got bitched out by my girlfriend since I didn't have her come and help me.
