On Saturday March 29th I decided to go into work to catch up on things. My boyfriend had my car that day because his was in the shop. Because of this I called and asked him to close my macbook so I could contact him via AIM to pick me up. I came home, and ended up going out to dinner with a friend. Once home from dinner I opened the macbook, and the screen stayed black. I tried to reboot, but it gave the "cant find disk" symbol. And then the klaky klaky noise so apparent of a dead harddrive. Yup, I had one dead macbook. I purchased this in August of 2007 and this was march of 2008, making the laptop 7 months old. So I sent it out on Friday the 4th (yes I am a procrastinator). I used my boyfriends laptop when I was in class because I HATE taking handwritten notes. I was amazed to find out that on Tuesday April 8th that my macbook was back. It excited me how fast his all happened. I came home, I further set up my machine (my boyfriend had set up important applications while i was in class). Everyting went well and I was so glad to be back to my 2.1GHz Macbook from my 650MHz Windows desktop. Most of Tuesday night was spent setting up what I had. So life goes on. Wednesdays I do not have class, so I do not take my laptop to work/school. Once I got home from work (around 7pm) I tried using my macbook. Again it would open/boot. And then I heard the tell tale klaky klaky. WONDERFUL. Yep, the harddrive died AGAIN. The brand new harddrive that Apple put in, FAILED. My boyfriend called. They sent another shipping box. He also inquired on how many times this has to happen before total replacement. Looks like it is a lot. Yay me. Now I wait to see what happens.
